Well Chance seems to be recovering faster then I am.. he is doing GREAT.. hardly any swelling and he is moving around like nothing ever happened. He was groggy for the day he had it done and that was it..

Was back to normal the next morning and not wanting to be kept inthe stall thank you very much!!..

Still have him seperated from the girls for the next three weeks but he has the two younger mustangs for company so he is fine.

Gelding

Well Chance loaded like a dream this morning and is on his way to being a gelding after today.

We will both be at home recovering from surgery..

Chance is a DADDY!!!

What a proud and protective daddy he is too. Woke up this morning to a wonderful surprise.

Meet Chance's only foal and daughter. ( will not name her for at least a week)

Chance is starting to get the idea that being locked in the stall is not a permanent thing. We are currently switching Tara and Chance out about every other day. That way Tara gets good muscle movement outside of the stall and can cut up and run if she wants.

Chance will be gelded soon so the whole herd will finally be able to be together a month after the surgery. And by that time I "think" that we will have the new foal on the ground too.

I think Chance is going to be such a good daddy. He is SOOOOO protective of Lilly right now. Actually all the boys are but Chance can hardly be pulled from her side without letting you know he is NOT happy about the situation. Well unless it is a crabby mare day for Lilly and she pushes him away..

It will be interesting to see how the three newest boys react to the foal.

Poor Chance got locked in the stall area for the day on Sunday while we let Tara out to meet up close and personal the rest of the herd.

He was less then happy about the whole situation but it was ok..

I will get some more pictures of him up here.. I cannot wait until they are all blown out and shiny again.. but that is a little ways off now isn't it. :)

I rode him for all of 10 minutes too.. he was such a good boy.. no fight at all except for the bit.. he did awesome!!!!

Sorry it has taken so long to get these posted.. BUT.. here is Chance as of the end of October. Like Irecently told everyone up north.. Chance is like having a Christmas present every day.. He is just a surprise all the time.. and SOOOO loving..

Here I was goign to see how far he would let me get witha saddle. Well just look and you will see..and this was taken after we walked and lunged.. took to it like a duck to water..

I will try to get some updated pictures of him in his winter coat and get them up here soon.
